Beautiful North Bay Venue in the Heart of Sausalito — One of Marin’s oldest landmarks, the Sausalito Portuguese Cultural Center provides just the right location for your special event. Sausalito, a beautiful seaside town nestled against the Marin headlands and just north of the Golden Gate, offers scenic views, charming shops and gourmet restaurants.

The Sausalito Portuguese Cultural Center, located on Caledonia Street, is just one block from the beach and the marina. It is one of the largest rental venues and best values available in Marin. After an extensive remodel, the Center provides over 5,000 sq. ft of premium space. A 2,800 sq. ft. Ballroom with beautiful hardwood floors is available plus a separate 2,400 sq. ft. Dining Room.

Rooms can be rented separately or together and include (30+) banquet tables & (275+) padded chairs, bar & lounge area, large kitchen for caterer staging and beautiful foyer. Amenities include a beautifully restored ballroom dance floor, dimmable chandelier lighting, Casablanca fans, cathedral-height wood-beam ceiling, dressing area/green room, high-speed internet, and handsome landscaping. A maple bar adjoins both the ballroom and dining areas. Recent upgrades include new heating and AC throughout. Please note that onsite guards and facility attendant are required for all high impact events.

Hours / Availability

FRIDAY / SATURDAY: 9 am - 12 midnight (including setup, tear down and cleanup)
SUNDAY - THURSDAY: 9 am - 9:30 pm (including setup, tear down and cleanup)
AMPLIFIED SOUND: Must meet city ordinance levels and end approx. 2 hrs. before lockup

KITCHEN: Commercial kitchen for catering staging, heating and serving
TABLES & CHAIRS: (32) 5 ft round banquet tables and approx. (280) padded chairs included in rental fee; (6) rectangular folding utility tables available; cocktail seating in bar
DANCE FLOOR: Hardwood floors in Ballroom
INTERNET: Hardwire internet connection on stage; hi-speed WIFI throughout facility
MUSIC: Amplified music allowed indoors with curfew and volume restrictions
LIGHTING: Dimmable lighting in Ballroom, Dining Room and Bar; remote-controlled Casablanca fans with dimmable lighting
COOLING: Air-conditioning in Ballroom and Dining Room, remote-controlled Casablanca fans with dimmable lighting in Ballroom
RESTROOMS: Large restrooms; kitchen restroom for staff
PARKING: Short-term, on-street parking is available in the business district on Caledonia and Bridgeway. An additional local, long-term parking lot is available on weekends.
